Course Description

Certificate in Aromatherapy Treatments is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide aromatherapy treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the spa /complementary therapy industry.

Prerequisite Requirements

There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that learners must have prior to undertaking this qualification .we enroll learners that have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to  successfully achieve this qualification.

Course Overview

  • Aromatherapy – to include consultation techniques, understanding the needs of clients andwhen and when not to treat them, carrying out visual analysis and identifying skin types,recognizing contra-indications, explaining possible contra-actions, blending essential oils andcarrier oils, using a variety of aromatherapy techniques, adapting the treatment to suit thespecific needs of the client and providing aftercare and home care advice
  • The learner will also learn about related health and safety and client care and communication whichis essential in order to work and be successful in the industry.
  • The related knowledge and understanding required to perform the aromatherapy skillslisted above effectively in particular the anatomy and physiology of the body and commondiseases and disorders that may affect when a client should or should not receive treatment
  • Opportunities for learners to focus on the development of their wider skills in anaromatherapy setting, such as communicating with clients, working with others and problemsolving
  • Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities andattitudes essential for successful performance in employment as an aroma therapist
