• You’ll learn how to design, implement, review and adapt spa treatments to provide customized treatments and plans for the different needs of your clients.
•  Human anatomy and physiology.
• Care of the skin – to include cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage and the use of face masks
• Care of the hands and feet – to include nail care, exfoliation, massage and normal and Gel polish application.
•  Master advanced hair removal using depilatory treatments
• How to deliver rejuvenating relaxation to your clients using a wide range of massage treatments such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Stress relief , Foot massage,herbal compress massage and Massage with pre-blended oils .
•  Spa treatments – to include carrying out relevant tests, using products, equipment and techniques to suit client’s treatment needs such as exfoliation, body masks/wraps, sauna, steam, jet shower and hydrotherapy baths.
•  Monitoring and maintaining spa areas – to include following manufacturers’ instructions, adhering to health and safety working practices, carrying out tests on equipment, monitoring the spa environment and monitoring client safety and well-being
• Professional ethics and business awareness

Internship opportunities will be offered with our industry partners such as Resorts/hotel spas, Day Spa, health clubs and Cosmetic Clinic.

To be awarded this qualification, learners must successfully
achieve the following assessments:

• Internal& external practical assessment

• Internal& external Theory  assessment
• Portfolio of evidence containing
  – Internally assessed projects
• Attachment 3 months in a busy spa enviroment
